Terms of Service

Welcome to 1stTrip – Travel Mat™ (“1stTrip → TM”). By using 1stTrip → TM, you agree to these Terms. 1stTrip → TM is provided “as is”.

1) What 1stTrip → TM Is

1stTrip → TM is a planning tool that suggests local options and routes to save you time. 1stTrip → TM does not guarantee accuracy, availability, legality, or suitability of listings, routes, or prices.

Informational use only. You must verify hours, rules, directions, prices, and safety information with official sources before taking any action. 1stTrip → TM does not provide legal, medical, or professional advice.

2) Scope

These Terms cover the planner (web/PWA) and read-only Screens/Kiosk views of 1stTrip → TM. Advertising purchase terms are covered separately in the Ads Manager terms.

3) Your Responsibilities

  • Verify details with official sources (for example carrier/venue sites, authorities).
  • Follow local laws (for example road rules, required equipment, customs/visa rules).
  • Use local emergency numbers for emergencies; 1stTrip → TM is not an emergency service.

4) Features with Notices

  • Country driving kits: general guidance only. Review before crossing. Not legal advice.
  • Budget estimates are indicative only; actual costs may vary.
  • Emergency and Health Finder: informational only; contact providers/authorities directly.
  • Planner caching: saved plans may display cached results until their expiry; new lookups fetch fresh data.

5) Accounts and Access

  • Checkout-first signup (required): An account is created only after purchasing a usage pack. No sign-ups without payment.
  • Trial Pack: First-Time Week Sneak-Peek is a one-time, limited-use product that expires 7 days from first use. It is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Continue service: To keep using 1stTrip → TM after the trial ends or when credits are exhausted, you must top up or purchase another pack.
  • Auth: Passkeys/WebAuthn with optional TOTP. No email logins. You must secure your devices and passkeys. We recommend at least two passkeys and backup codes. Many password managers (for example Bitwarden) can store/sync passkeys; use at your discretion.
  • Idle lock: Sessions may auto-lock after a short period for security.

6) Usage and Credits

Fresh lookups outside a saved plan may incur additional credits, as per your usage plan. Saved plans can reopen recent results without extra credits until the on-screen expiry time. Credits are non-refundable.

7) Payments, Credits, Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes/fees may apply.
  • All sales are final. Duplicate charges or verified billing errors are credited to your 1stTrip → TM account as usage credits (no cash-to-bank refunds).
  • Chargebacks or suspected fraud may lead to suspension until a new payment method is provided.

8) Inactive and Abandoned Signups / Accounts

No payment, no account, no storage: If checkout is abandoned without a successful payment, no account is created and we do not retain your personal sign-up details.

Fraud prevention exception: To detect card abuse and bots, we may temporarily retain minimal anti-fraud telemetry (for example card/device/IP fingerprints and timestamps) for a limited period (typically 90–180 days), as permitted by law. This telemetry does not include your full payment details or personal profile and is used solely for security.

Inactive Accounts

  • Suspend after 60 days: If there’s no activity for 60 days, your account may be suspended. Sign in to reactivate instantly.
  • Delete after 24 months: If there’s no activity for 24 months, we will delete your account and associated data (except minimal security logs retained as permitted by law). You can open a new account later; the old one cannot be restored.
  • What counts as activity: A successful sign-in plus any planner or account action (for example running a lookup, saving a plan, purchasing a pack/top-up).
  • Credits: Unused credits remain available as long as the account exists and expire when the account is deleted. Credits are not refundable.
  • Data minimization: When we delete an account for inactivity, we erase profile and usage data, except for minimal security/audit logs retained as permitted by law.

9) Third-Party Links and Listings

1stTrip → TM may show third-party listings or outbound links (for example transport operators, house-sitting platforms, retailers). Availability, prices, and policies are controlled by those providers. 1stTrip → TM is not responsible for third-party sites or services.

10) Acceptable Use

No scraping, reverse engineering, automated abusive queries, or bulk export beyond plan limits. Do not interfere with service integrity.

11) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1stTrip → TM and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of 1stTrip → TM or reliance on information provided. Use is at your own risk.

12) Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be highlighted in-app and may require re-acceptance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
